Troupe Kavkasioni - Georgian Folkloric Dancers
The Kavkasioni Troupe is lead by master choreographer, teacher and lead dancer of the Georgian State Dance Company, Shalva Goguadze.
Shalva has united this troupe of former students including his son, Levan and introduced audiences, after the fall of communism in the former U.S.S.R., to this unique form of dance little previously little known.
These fiercely proud traditional artists perform dances that date back over the millennium depicting peasants, solders, shepherds and pirates from the Great Caucasus Mountain region of Eastern Europe. Shalva choreographs and performs with his peers, his students and his son, and have enjoyed success throughout Europe, performing in Switzerland, France, Germany.
‘Kavkasioni Troupe’ have performed in the hit stage show ‘Zingara’ in Australia at Conrad Jupiters, for Dion & Randall, who are proud to present them for the first time in Korea in the original stage spectacular ‘Gypsy Moon’ to premiere at the Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel, Seoul.
